Ohio senator, sherrod brown went to cuba

Ohio Senatorial representative to Congress, Sherrod Brown traveled to Cuba as part of a bipartisan effort to try and convince their government to release an American citizen who has been imprisoned in the country.
Brown went to meet with Raul; Castro to convince him to allow Alan Gross who is serving 15 years for bringing communications equipment into the country the Dayton Daily News is reporting.
“We specifically (asked Castro) about releasing” Gross, Brown said in a conference call.
During the call, Brown reportedly said Ohio could benefit from the United States lifting the embargo on the communist country by trading the state’s agricultural good.
