Adelante Franklin County Democrats and the Ohio Republican Hispanic Assembly will once again be registering voters after mass this Sunday, February 5th.  This time they’ll be at the Spanish-language mass at Parroquia Santa Cruz on East Patterson in Columbus.  The goal is to start a conversation about the March primary and register Latino voters in advance of that registration deadline.  Last Sunday’s effort was a tremendous success – they registered voters and met and mingled with community leaders and parishioners at Christ the King church on Livingston.  OCHLA would like to publicly thank both groups, as well as Father David Schalk and Betty Sawyers at Christ the King, the Columbus Diocese, and Benito Lucio for planning and successfully executing this event.  The success of this campaign will rest on the shoulders of community groups like these engaging and empowering the communities they serve.

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections invites all of their voters to bring completed vote-by-mail applications to any Cleveland Public Library branch this Saturday, February 4th between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm and save a stamp.  For more information on this event please see this bilingual publication.  Cuyahoga County voters can request their vote-by-mail applications here. Additionally, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has prepared this excellent, comprehensive March 6 Primary Election guide in both English and Spanish.  Please share these with your networks in Cuyahoga County.

If you or your organization is hosting an event in the next few weeks at which you could register some Latino voters, please contact me.
