Hip hop celebration fosters MLK dialogue
January 19, 2011 · Print This Article
The purpose of the Hip Hop Celebration was to bring young Black males and the elders together to dialogue on issues that face us in America. Dr King talked about more than just a dream; he spoke about injustice and the awareness of the struggle of Black people and all people. We must look back on the struggle of all the heroes; a hero who’s shoulders we stand upon.
Dr. King, Malcolm X, Marcus Garvey, and Harriet Tubman; they live on in our spirit.
