The southwest Ohio lawmaker who’s been pushing for immigration reform says since Republicans will control all branches of state government next year, he thinks there will be some legislation on the issue soon. Republican Rep. Courtney Combs of Fairfield wants an immigration law similar to the controversial one in Arizona. He’d talked about a petition drive to put it before voters this year, but now says that putting legislation on the ballot might not be necessary.  Combs says jobs will be the legislature’s number-one priority, but he expects the immigration reform to be near the top of the agenda.
