Don’t wait for International Festival to get out and enjoy summer in Lorain and little culture.
Get a preview of the festival when you check out Saborit Latin-Soul, performing a free latin jazz concert 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday (tonight) at Lorain’s Black River Landing as part of Jazz on the River Free Summer Concert Series. (Saborit Latin-Soul will also perform the final day of Lorain International Festival, 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28.)
Justo Saborit, a native of Havana, Cuba, combines elements of classical, blues and jazz music with his country’s native sounds to create a Latin jazz blend with a soul all his own.
Bring a blanket and enjoy the live music, stroll along the river, enjoy wine tastings or tour the historic Lorain Lighthouse.
Jazz on the River is brought to you by Premier Toyota in Amherst, First Federal Savings & Loan of Lorain, the Lorain Port Authority, The Chronicle-Telegram and WNWV 107.3 The Wave.
